<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stop control device for a vehicle capable of securing an improvement effect of fuel consumption by automatic stop and capable of extending service life of components related to the automatic stop and restart by minutely and appropriately determining traffic jam travelling of a vehicle, and by permitting/prohibiting the automatic stop according to the determination result.SOLUTION: In a stop control device for a vehicle, after allowing an internal combustion engine 3 to come to an automatic stop, when a vehicle speed VP becomes a predetermined precondition vehicle speed VPHREF or greater, a precondition vehicle speed establishment flag F_HVP is set to be "1" (Steps 24 and 25 in Fig. 4), and automatic stop is permitted. Passing frequency NP, in which the vehicle speed VP has passed a traffic jam determination vehicle speed VPSLOW within a predetermined period P, is accumulated (Step 38 in Fib.5). When the passing frequency NP becomes predetermined frequency NPREF or greater, the precondition vehicle speed establishment flag F_HVP is reset to be "0", as a vehicle V is assumed to be in traffic jam travelling (Steps 39 and 42 in Fig. 5), and the automatic stop is prohibited.</p> |
