<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for restoring vitamin D sensitivity in vitamin D resistant tumor cells.SOLUTION: The invention also provides a method for treating, preventing or managing cancer by using an immuno-modulatory compound with a vitamin D agent. Also disclosed are a pharmaceutical composition and a single unit dosage form suitable for use in the method provided in the specification. In another embodiment, provided is a method for treating, managing or preventing a cancer refractory to vitamin D treatment, which method comprises administering to a patient having such a cancer a certain amount of the immuno-modulatory compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate or stereoisomer thereof in combination with a vitamin D agent.</p> |
