PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, an information processing system and a fault detection method capable of reliably detecting an error with a high transfer efficiency.SOLUTION: A channel unit 2 receives a data and transfers the same to a system control unit 1 with a predetermined transfer unit. The system control unit 1 transfers the data received from the channel unit 2. The channel unit 2 includes: a checksum calculation section 25 that calculates a piece of first error information on entire received data based on received data; a checksum calculation section 28 that calculates a piece of second error information on entire data which is output based on the data output by the system control unit 1; and an error detection section 29 that compares the first error information and the second error information to detect an error.
