Laboratory distillation device for extracting compounds from crude petroleum, consisting of a flask-shaped boiler vessel (1) connected to a vapour extraction column (16) comprising in the boiler part (1) a stack (4) made of perforated sheet metal defining a heating space between itself and the walls (13) of the boiler, a heating collar (20) surrounding at least a part of the outer surface of the boiler in the region of the stack (4), characterised in that it comprises means (30, 31, 6) for injection at the base of the heating space of a neutral gas whose flow rate is regulated (62, 63, 64) as a function of the flow rate of the vapour. <IMAGE>
