Inside a housing (1), the off-centre rotor (3) for forming a dispersion from tangentially entering liq. is mounted on a drive shaft (2). The centrifuged rotor wheel has an outer integral peripheral wheel (10) concentric with at least one further ring (12,16), the rings being joined by arcuate generally radial spokes. The rings have apertures (11,13) formed as longitudinal slots substantially parallel to the drive shaft. These apertures taper in cross-section in a direction away from the shaft, the angle between their side-walls being 30-60 deg. In the rotation direction, the rear wall of each aperture forms with the diametral plane an angle between 5 deg. as seen from the rotation direction and 30 deg. against that direction. USE/ADVANTAGE - For paints, lubricants, building materials, foodstuffs, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals etc. Internal cavitation produces effective dispersion with low power consumption and without cavitation damaging the components.
