<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus (1) to expand a refrigerant. The apparatus (1) comprises: a housing (3) having a flow channel (4); and a ball-shaped valve element integrated with an inside of the housing (3). The valve element is arranged to be mounted to be rotated around a rotational shaft (7), and a penetration channel (6) is formed in the valve element (2). An inlet opening and an outlet opening are formed in the penetration channel (6) of the valve element (2), and the penetration channel (6) of the valve element (2) enables a flow cross-section of the penetration channel (6) to be arranged to be reduced from the inlet opening to the outlet opening in a flow direction (5, 5′) of the refrigerant. The smallest flow cross-section is formed in an outlet of the penetration channel (6).</p> |
