<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil conditioner utilizing a steel slag, reducing a hazardous property of a harmful substance such as hexavalent chromium by reducing effect of the steel slag and effectively improving environmental safety of the soil. <P>SOLUTION: The soil conditioner includes the steel slag having a total Fe content of 15 mass% or more, an FeO content of 10 mass% or more and a CaO/SiO<SB>2</SB>(mass ratio) of≥2 and <5 and preferably having a metal Fe content of≥1 mass%. Reducing ability by iron and iron oxide can be sufficiently exhibited while suitably suppressing effect of an obstructive anion by feeding a sufficient amount of Ca from the steel slag. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
