<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool in which a soft resin cover is protected. <P>SOLUTION: The power tool includes a motor for driving an anvil 52 holding a tip tool, a housing 2 for supporting the motor, a case 51 which pivotally supports the anvil 52 and is covered by the housing 2, and a light unit 25 which is attached to the housing 2 and emits light to the vicinity of the tip tool. The housing 2 includes an extension 2C which is disposed near the anvil 52 and holds the light unit 25 and an elastomer 2E covering the extension 2C. An opening 2c which is opened to the front side and formed at the rear side is formed in the extension 2C. The light unit 25 is disposed at the bottom of the opening 2c. The opening 2c is formed at the surface of the extension 2C so that a vertical wall 2D projecting to the front side surrounds the periphery of the opening.
