摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the optimum deceleration control leading to acceleration of the next one line printing even when the total printing time required in a certain one line printing is longer than the necessary total magnetic excitation time (necessary acceleration time) for a stepping motor to perform the feeding for one line, in a thermal printer. <P>SOLUTION: When the total printing time Tstb(1) calculated on the basis of printing data for one line to be printed is longer than the total magnetic excitation time Tdotline(1) obtained by adding each magnetic excitation time of a predetermined number of steps assumed for the printing data for one line, the difference timeΔT between the total printing time Tstb(1) and the total magnetic excitation time Tdotline(1) is set as a deceleration time, and is added to the magnetic excitation time of other steps excluding the final step of the predetermined number of steps to control the total magnetic excitation time Tdotline(1).
