<p>An apparatus includes a memory and a processor that executes a program including a procedure on the memory. The procedure comprises receiving information in which a communication amount corresponding to an amount of transmitted and received data is associated with a transmission source and a destination of the data with respect to each of virtual machines operating in a system including servers, calculating a correlation degree between the transmission source and the destination based on the information, calculating an arrangement candidate of the virtual machine with respect to the server based on the correlation degree, calculating a load on the network in the system imparted by the transmission and reception of the data attributable to a movement of the virtual machine to match the arrangement candidate; and controlling the movement of the virtual machine in accordance with the arrangement candidate based on the load and a threshold.</p> |
