PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a film excellent in dimensional stability and the like. ! SOLUTION: The production method of a film includes steps of: obtaining a liquid crystalline polyester by polymerizing a monomer 1 derived from a structural unit (1), a monomer 2 derived from a structural unit (2), a monomer 3 derived from a structural unit (3), and a monomer 4 derived from a structural unit (4), described below, in proportions of 30 to 80 mol% of the monomer 1, 10 to 35 mol% of the monomer 2, and total 10 to 35 mol% of the monomer 3 and the monomer 4 with respect to the total of the monomers, and 1 to 7 mol% of the monomer 3 with respect to the total of the monomers; obtaining a composition by mixing the above liquid crystalline polyester with a solvent; obtaining a laminate by applying the composition on a conductive foil; and obtaining a film by subjecting the laminate to a heat treatment of elevating a temperature up to 300 to 400°C at a temperature elevation rate of 2 to |
