PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor system which allows for high speed determination whether the distance of an object and a sensor satisfies predetermined conditions with small scale configuration. ! SOLUTION: A sensor 10 for detecting rotation of the component (object) of a vehicle in noncontact generates a differential signal consisting of signal S1 and signal S2 corresponding to the rotation. Comparators 12 and 22 have different hysteresis characteristics. A determination is made that the distance (gap) of the object and the sensor 10 is within a predetermined range where the differential signal is recognized effective, if the signal S22 of the comparator 22 is mismatch between both edge times of a signal S12 outputted from the comparator 12. !
