PRINTING SYSTEM, DENSITY CORRECTION METHOD AND CORRECTION NECESSITY DETERMINATION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of reducing time required for density correction concerning the density correction performed at the time of usage of a liquid ejection device, and further to provide a density correction method and a correction necessity determination program.SOLUTION: A printing system comprises: a computer; and a printer forming a printing image on a printing sheet on the basis of printing data output from the computer. The printer comprises: a recording head capable of ejecting a plurality of kinds of ink droplets having dot sizes different from one another onto a recording sheet; and density measurement equipment measuring density of a pattern formed by the plurality of kinds of ink droplets ejected from the recording head. The printer measures density of a determination chart by the density measurement equipment while the recording head is forming the determination chart constituted of at least one pattern by a part of dots preset. The computer determines whether or not density correction of image data is necessary on the basis of density measurement results obtained by the density measurement equipment from the determination chart.
