<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cutting chips discharge performance in post-grinding to prevent cutting chips from damaging a machined surface of an object to be cut. <P>SOLUTION: A throwaway tip for post-grinding 40 includes a first cutting edge 61 and a second cutting edge 62 formed on a first edge line 51 of edge lines where a plurality of flanks and a rake face 41 cross each other. A breaker groove 80 is formed between a second edge line 52 crossing the first edge line and the first edge line 51, where no cutting edge is formed on the edge lines. Viewing the rake face 41 from the front, in a cross-section cut along a cutting line CL orthogonal to the second edge line 52, the height of the second edge line 52 orthogonal to the cutting line CL is formed higher than those of the first cutting edge 61 and the second cutting edge 62 over a predetermined range from an intersection 70a where a linear shape of the first cutting edge 61 actually or virtually intersects with that of the second edge line 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
