A slab straightening device is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the slab straightening device comprises: a straightening roller arranged on an upper portion of a transfer route for a slab; a support device supporting each of both ends of an axis of the straightening roller; a drive device installed in the support device to rotate the straightening roller; a lifting device operating the support device to lift the straightening roller; a deformation detection unit detecting whether the slab is deformed in accordance with a collision between the slab and the straightening roller; and a control unit controlling an operation of the drive device and the lifting device in accordance with a detection of the deformation detection unit.
