1. A battery separator comprising:
a porous substrate; and a layer of a crosslinked polymer supported on at least one surface of the porous substrate, wherein the crosslinked polymer is obtained by reacting (a) a reactive polymer having a reactive group containing a hydroxy group with (b) a polycarbonate urethane prepolymer in which two ends thereof are terminated by an isocyanate group, the polycarbonate urethane prepolymer is obtained by reacting an aliphatic polycarbonate diol having hydroxy groups with a polyfunctional isocyanate having isocyanate groups, wherein a molar ratio of the isocyanate groups possessed by the polyfunctional isocyanate to the hydroxy groups possessed by the polycarbonate diol is in a range of 1.2 to 3.3. |
