PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual core golf ball in which the hardness of a first outer surface of an inner core layer is greater than the hardness of an inner surface of an outer core layer.SOLUTION: A golf ball includes an inner core with a first outer surface and a geometric center, formed from an entirely substantially homogenous first formulation such that the inner core has a hardness in the range from 60 Shore C to 90 Shore C. An outer core layer is formed around the inner core layer and has a second outer surface and an inner surface, formed from an entirely substantially homogenous second formulation such that the outer core layer has a hardness in the range from 30 Shore C to 80 Shore C. A cover layer is disposed about the outer core layer. The hardness of the first outer surface is less than the hardness of the geometric center to define a "positive hardness gradient," and the hardness of the second outer surface is less than the hardness of the inner surface to define a "negative hardness gradient." |
