PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling floating virus infection, capable of preventing animals from being infected with virus, with the animals living in a safe state.SOLUTION: An aqueous chlorite solution and an acid-containing aqueous solution are accommodated in two chemical liquid tanks, respectively, from which a specified quantity of each of the solutions is periodically fed to a reaction tank for a reaction to generate chlorine dioxide gas. The resulting chlorine dioxide gas is diluted with air to a specified concentration (preferably 0.8 ppm). The chlorine dioxide gas at the specified concentration is supplied into a space where floating viruses can be present. The method for controlling floating virus infection can thereby inactivate floating viruses, with animals living in a safe state. |
