PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a display unit from displaying enlarged images of unnecessary keys.SOLUTION: A character input device includes: a display unit; a detection unit for detecting touch on the display unit; a control unit for controlling display of a virtual keyboard on the display unit, which, when the detection unit detects touch on the virtual keyboard, makes the display unit present one or more enlarged images of keys of the virtual keyboard located within a range that depends on a touching object from a touched position; and a character input unit for entering a character corresponding to a key selected from the enlarged images of keys. |
