PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power receiving device capable of easily and appropriately generating resonance with a frequency of AC current flowing in a primary coil even when inductance of a secondary coil varies.SOLUTION: A power receiving device 1 comprises: a power receiving part 2 having a secondary coil 5; and a converter 3 which converts AC voltage output from the power receiving part 2 into DC voltage. The converter 3 has a function for generating compensation voltage for canceling a reactance component in the power receiving part 2 to be applied to the power receiving part 2. Specifically, the converter 3 varies a phase of the compensation voltage to be applied to the power receiving part 2 into a predetermined variation pattern, and detects a state of a predetermined physical amount varying in accordance with phase variation in a process of the phase variation. Then, a phase in which the power receiving device 1 becomes resonance or a state close to the resonance is searched based on the detected state of the physical amount, and the compensation voltage in the searched phase is determined as the compensation voltage which should be applied to the power receiving part 2. |
