PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile exterior component capable of preventing an occurrence of warping of an exterior cover while permitting the longitudinal displacement of the exterior cover with respect to a bracket.SOLUTION: An automobile exterior component 1 comprises: a resin exterior cover 2 formed into a long shape; and a metal bracket 3. A thickness of a metal plated layer 29A provided on a design surface 201 of the exterior cover 2 is larger than a thickness of a metal plated layer 29B provided on a rear surface 202 of the exterior cover 2. An attachment mount portion 21 to be attached to an attachment object portion 31 of the bracket 3 and a bonded portion 23 to be bonded to a bonding object portion 33 of the bracket 3 by adhesive 5 are provided in each of a plurality of longitudinal parts of the rear surface 202 of the exterior cover 2. The adhesive 5 has an elastically deformable property in a cured state so as to permit the longitudinal displacement of the attachment mount 21 with respect to the corresponding attachment object portion 31.
