PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information processing terminal configured to further improve operability.SOLUTION: A portable information processing terminal includes: a display side housing 1A equipped with a display; an input device side housing 1B equipped with an operation device; a controller configured to receive a preset input value in response to the operational state of the operation device to perform processing according to the input value; and orientation detection means configured to detect the orientations of the display surface of the display and the operation surface of the operation device. The controller converts the input value corresponding to the operational state of the operation device into the input value corresponding to another operational state according to the orientation of the operation surface to the display surface to receive the input value.
