PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath pipe for column erection that can have a cover body easily replaced without digging a construction surface.SOLUTION: A sheath pipe 100 for column erection including a sheath pipe body 110 having its column insertion opening 111 at an upper end buried while exposed from a construction surface, a cover body 120 opening and closing the column insertion opening 111, a cover body fitting base body 130 provided protruding outward from an outer peripheral part nearby the upper end of the sheath pipe body 110, and a cover body fitting mechanism 140 fitted with a fitting piece 121 provided in a rotatable state on a base end side of the cover body 140 has such a structure that the fitting piece 121 can be fitted to or removed from the cover body fitting mechanism 140 by only an operation through a cover body fitting opening 131 provided at an upper end of the cover body fitting base body 130.
