The central heating system incorporates a primary heat exchanger connected to radiators and a domestic water secondary heat exchanger. Two circulation pumps are included, one connected to the domestic heat exchanger and the other one to the primary heat exchanger, with a three-way valve (12) between them. In the first position of the valve the second pump (11) is connected to the radiators (6) and primary heat exchanger (1), and in the second position, the suction side of the second pump is connected to the pressure side of the first pump (10), so that both pumps are connected to the primary heat exchanger and the domestic heat exchanger (4) in series. ADVANTAGE - Better utilisation of the pump outputs in a compact, reliable, and low-cost design.
