An arrangement for quantitative absolute measurement of the three-dimensional coordinates of a test object (6) contains a projector (1) for projecting a defined pattern onto the object and a sensor (2) for detecting the light reflected from the object including the pattern and a displacement device (5). The diplacement device is used to measure the displacement path of a calibration body or the test object w.r.t. the projector and/or sensor. ADVANTAGE - Accurate investigation of surface using calibration technique.
