PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce combustion noise and RawNOx emission that may be generated at a time of return from fuel cut in a compression injection engine with EGR means.SOLUTION: A PCM 100 controls an injector 21 to restart injecting fuel so as to make an operating state of an engine body 10 equal to a predetermined operating state corresponding to depression of an accelerator pedal P if the accelerator pedal P is depressed during execution of a fuel cut control to cut off fuel injection, and executes an injection retardation control to retard injection timing of injecting a fuel into a combustion chamber 17 by a predetermined retardation amount from injection timing corresponding to the predetermined operating state. |
