PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in a silane crosslinkable flame-retardant composition having excellent heat resistance, a flame retardant composition having better flexibility as well as better gasoline resistance than a conventional one, and an insulated wire using the same.SOLUTION: The flame-retardant composition comprises: a polymer component comprising a silane-modified ethylene polymer, a silane-unmodified ethylene polymer, and a polypropylene polymer; a metal hydroxide; a phenolic antioxidant; a metal deactivator; and a silane crosslinking catalyst. The density of the silane-modified ethylene polymer is adjusted to 0.875 g/cmor less, and to the composition is further added one or two or more selected from an ionomer resin, a polyamide resin, and an oil component. |
