The present invention relates to a device for measuring a phase angle of a power network and a measuring method thereof using a time synchronization signal of a GPS. The device for measuring a phase angle of a power network and the measuring method thereof comprise the following steps of: generating a power factor sampled and measured from a power network as a power factor vector of a phasor type; detecting lifting time of a time synchronization signal provided from a GPS module; calculating a converted phase angle by converting the lifting time of the time synchronization signal into the phase angle; and compensating for the phase angle of the power factor vector by applying the converted phase angle. The device for measuring a phase angle of a power network and the measuring method thereof inexpensively maintain a time synchronization signal of a phase angle measuring device. |
