PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring reflection properties of an object having a front reflecting surface and at least one rear reflecting surface.SOLUTION: A device comprises: a sample stage for placement of an object 104; a light source 101; a detector 111 that is configured to detect reflected light from the object 104; and a positioning device that is configured to provide the light source 101 and the detector 111 at a plurality of angular positions relative to the object 104 on the sample stage such that incident light upon the object 104 is specularly reflected towards the detector 111 and a front surface reflection from the object 104 and at least one rear surface reflection from the object are included in reflecting light received upon the detector 111, and a method is configured to comprise the steps of: irradiating the object 104 with light at various angles of incidence; collecting reflected light from the front and rear reflecting surfaces of the object at respective specular reflection angles; performing a wavelength analysis of the reflecting light into a color spectrum; and analyzing intensity of the color spectrum relative to a wavelength.
