摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems for preparing micro- and/or nano-scale dispersion, which reduce processing time and cost without sacrificing benchmark material properties (e.g., small particle size and narrow particle size distribution) in the production of pigment dispersions that are important to prepare an emulsion aggregation toner.SOLUTION: A pigment dispersion comprises magnetic particles in a reaction mixture. A method for preparing micro- and/or nano-scale dispersion, which reduce processing time and cost, comprises: putting the mixture in an alternating current magnetic field; and applying, the alternating current magnetic field having a strength of 50 to 2,000 mT at a frequency of from 3-100 Hz for about 10 hours, preferably the alternating current magnetic field having a strength of 150 to 1,000 mT at a frequency of 40 to 80 Hz for 30 minutes or lower, thereby milling the pigment particles in the reaction mixture. The pigment in the pigment dispersion has an ending Dof 130±15 nanometers.
