PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel bending device capable of efficiently bending a metal plate without putting a rubbing flaw or hitting trace on the metal plate.SOLUTION: There is provided a bending device 10 for bending a metal plate W placed on a pair of movable plates 35, 35 by applying thereon a pressing force along a central axis X using an upper die 20. According to the device, since the movable plates move together with elongation of the metal plate at a bending process against the biasing force of coil springs 45, the metal plate has no rubbing flaw. Further, since the upper faces of the movable plates are absolutely perfectly flat, the metal plate does not leave a hitting trace thereon even if receiving the pressing force by the upper die. After completion of the bending process, a swinging member is released from the pressing force and the load of the metal plate to return to its initial position, and the movable plates also return to the initial positions by the biasing force of the coil springs. Since the heads 42 of fastening members 41 connecting the movable plates to stationary plates 38 act as stoppers, the movable plates are held at the initial positions. |
