PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for discriminating two biological portions having light absorption characteristics different from each other and imaging the two biological portions at a high speed.SOLUTION: A photoacoustic imaging device 10 includes a wavelength variable light source 13 capable of irradiating a subject selectively with first light and second light having wavelengths different from each other, means 11, 12 for respectively detecting acoustic waves issued from the subject when irradiating it with the first light and the second light to respectively create first photoacoustic data and second photoacoustic data, and complex number conversion means 25 for creating complex number data obtained by making one between the first photoacoustic data and the second photoacoustic data a real part and the other an imaginary part. In addition, the photoacoustic imaging device includes image reconstruction means 26 for acquiring a reconstructed image from the complex number data by a Fourier transformation method, phase information extraction means 71 for extracting phase information from the reconstructed image, intensity information extraction means 70 for extracting intensity information from the reconstructed image, and photoacoustic image construction means 73 for applying a color map based on the phase information to the intensity information to make image display means 14 display the color map. |
