METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FLEXIBLE DEVICE, FLEXIBLE DEVICE MANUFACTURING APPARATUS, FLEXIBLE DEVICE, AND LIQUID COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible device manufacturing method that can stably separate a flexible device from a hard support body and allows reuse of used hard support body.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a flexible device includes the steps of: forming a polyimide resin layer on a hard support body by applying a liquid composition comprising a polyimide or a polyimide precursor to the hard support body and curing the liquid composition; forming a functional layer on the polyimide resin layer; forming a score in the polyimide resin layer so as to partition a frame body consisting of a surface peripheral edge part of the polyimide resin layer; peeling off the polyimide resin layer in an inside area surrounded by the score from the hard support body together with the functional layer to obtain a flexible device having the functional layer on the polyimide resin layer; and peeling off the frame body of the polyimide resin layer on the hard support body by mechanical means. The method for manufacturing a flexible device allows the hard support body, from which the frame body of the polyimide resin layer has been removed, to be reused for manufacturing the flexible device.
