PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner having a cleaning mechanism capable of reliably removing foreign matter adhering to a cover glass.SOLUTION: A cleaning mechanism 60 includes: a screw shaft 61 disposed in a longitudinal direction of a cover glass 40; left and right rail parts 43, 44 disposed parallel to the screw shaft 61 across the cover glass 40; a holder 62 to be screwed with the screw shaft 61; and a cleaning member 63 held by the holder 62. At the right rail part 44, there is formed an engaging piece 44b hanging over the cover glass 40 like eaves. The holder 62 has left and right arm parts 68, 69 extending from the screw shaft 61 in directions opposite to each other. At the right arm part 69, there are formed: a holding part 75 for holding the cleaning member 63; and a protrusion part 69a for coming in contact with the engaging piece 44b formed at the right rail part 44. The protrusion part 69a moves in contact with the engaging piece 44b, and the cleaning member 63 rubs a surface of the cover glass 40. |
