PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle approach notification device capable of reliably performing a sound production of a warning sound as long as during a travel.SOLUTION: A vehicle approach notification device includes: a sound production control signal generation part 5b for generating a sound production control signal to command to perform a sound production or a sound mutation; and an approach notification control part 5c for controlling the sound production of the approach notification on the basis of the sound production control signal; the vehicle approach notification device is further provided with a travel determination signal generation part 5a for generating a travel determination signal used for a determination as to whether or not a vehicle is performing a travel. The approach notification control part 5c determines an abnormality of the sound production control signal generated by the sound production control signal generation part 5b, and if the sound production control signal is abnormal, performs a travel determination on the basis of the travel determination signal, and if it is so determined that the vehicle is being traveling, the approach notification sound is produced by replacing an input value of the sound production control signal with a signal commanding a sound production virtually set in advance. |
