PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device in which space can be saved and operation force of an operating lever at release of lock does not become unnecessarily heavy.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 comprises a lock mechanism 31 and an energizing mechanism 38. The lock mechanism 31 fastens each first side plate 25 of a first bracket 21 formed in a groove shape to a corresponding second side plate 27 of a second bracket 22 fixed to a steering column 4 so as to attain lock. A fastening shaft 34 of the lock mechanism 31 is inserted through long grooves 32 for tilt of the first side plates 25 and insertion grooves (long grooves 33 for telescope) of the second side plates. The energizing mechanism 38 is arranged at an inner space of the first bracket 21 formed in a groove shape when viewed from a shaft direction of a steering shaft 3 and energizes a pair of end parts 34a and 34b in a shaft direction K of the fastening shaft 34 toward a top plate 26 of the first bracket 21. |
