PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature superconducting wire recovery system, and a recovery method thereof capable of removing a resin-based adhesive agent in a short time without deteriorating superconductivity of a high temperature superconducting wire.SOLUTION: A high temperature superconducting wire recovery system 10 includes: a storage part 13 for storing a high temperature superconducting coil 12 taken out of superconductive equipment, with its shape being maintained by a hardened resin-based adhesive agent; a solvent supply part 19 for supplying an organic solvent 14 whose main component is at least one of ketone and alcohol that swell and soften the resin-based adhesive agent; a reaction tank 15 for immersing the high temperature superconducting coil 12 in the organic solvent 14 supplied from the solvent supply part 19; and COadding equipment 17 connected to a gaseous phase part of the reaction tank 15 for adding supercritical COto the organic solvent 14. |
