PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in transmission performance of an antenna and deterioration in sensor sensitivity, and accurately detect approaching (or contact) of a hand of a user to a sensor.SOLUTION: A detection device includes: a sensor electrode whose electrostatic capacity changes according to approaching of a human body; a first sensor that outputs a detection signal according to the change of the electrostatic capacity; a second sensor that outputs a detection signal according to a transmission wave transmitted from an antenna; and a monitoring unit that monitors the detection signals output from the first and second sensors, and prohibits output from the first sensor for a predetermined time according to the detection signal output from the second sensor.
