PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating or coated substrate that have a high mechanical strength in addition to an excellent effect preventing a reflection.SOLUTION: A substrate coated with a reflection preventive coating is configured such that the reflection preventive coating is formed as an optical interference film having at least two low refractive index layers and at least one high refractive index layer, in which the high refractive index layer is a transparent hard material layer and contains crystalline aluminum nitride having a hexagonal crystal structure with a principal (001) preferential orientation, and the low refractive index layer includes SiOand the high refractive index layer is arranged between the low refractive index layer and the high refractive index layer. The objective is solved by the coated substrate. |
