PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical device capable of preventing failure in a joint part between a lid and a seal ring.SOLUTION: An electrochemical device 1 includes: a case 10; a power storage element 15; and a metal layer 20. The case 10 includes: a case body 11; a metal seal ring 12; a metal lid 13; and a joint part 14. The case body 11 has a recessed part 111. The seal ring 12 is joined to the case body 11 to form a liquid chamber 10a with the recessed part 111. The lid 13 seals the liquid chamber 10a. The joint part 14 includes an appearing area and joins the seal ring 12 to the lid 13. The case 10 includes a surface on which the appearing area appears. The power storage element 15 includes an electrolyte L and is stored in the liquid chamber 10a. The metal layer 20 is disposed on the surface of the case 10 and covers the appearing area. |
