A transmission system according to an embodiment of the invention comprises input units, output units, distribution units, amplification units, and a switch unit. Each of the distribution units is configured to distribute and output the respective one of input signals, inputted to the respective one of the input units, to output lines. The amplification units are placed on the respective output lines. The switch unit is configured to be able to switch the output lines such that if any trouble has occurred in the first amplification units placed on the respective ones of the first output lines corresponding to a first input signal that is one of the input signals, the first input signal is inputted, via the second amplification unit placed on at least one of the second output lines corresponding to a second input signal different from the first input signal, to the first output unit that is one of the output units and that outputs a first output signal corresponding to the first input signal. |
