<p>PURPOSE:To effectively remove NOx contained in the exhaust gas of a diesel engine at relatively low temp. almost equal to the temp. of the exhaust gas of an actual car. CONSTITUTION:A porous exhaust gas purifying material 3 having heat resistance is arranged on the way of an exhaust gas, flow passage and a desired amount of air is supplied to the exhaust gas purifying material 3 on the upstream side thereof from a nozzle 50 through a pipe 52 to control the concn. of oxygen in exhaust gas and a desired amount of liquid hydrocarbon is sprayed to the exhaust gas from the nozzle 50 on the upstream side of the exhaust gas purifying material 3, and the granulated and gasified hydrocarbon is allowed to act as a reducing agent to reduce and remove nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas.</p> |
