[Class 7 (iv)] Discharge of the condenser C2 across the series spark-gap G is initiated by a voltage supplied to a third electrode in response to current flow in the condenser-charging circuit. A transformer P, the primary winding of which is in the condenser-charging circuit, and the secondary connected to the third electrode, may be used. The voltage-initiating discharge may be that applied to a gap F in the condensercharging circuit, an impedance R2 being used to prevent continuous discharge. If the voltage at the gap F is insufficient, it may be increased by using an additional winding on the transformer L1.</p> |
