PURPOSE:To provide a shift controller of an automatic transmission which is able to abate a shift shock at the time of gearshifting, especially a drawing feeling from the standpoint of bodily sensation by controlling the time of perceiving the drawing feeling so as to be converged on the desired value. CONSTITUTION:This shift controller is provided with a detecting means for detecting a starting time of actual shift operation and a terminal time of drawing conditions in an automatic transmission, and a first compensation means for compensating the extent to line pressure at time of gearshifting in this transmission so as to make an interval between the starting time and the terminal time come to the specified desired time.
