<p>PURPOSE:To provide a toner excellent in resistance against yellowing which can be erased with irradiation of near infrared rays by incorporating a specified dye which absorbs near infrared rays, decolorizing agent, and UV absorbent. CONSTITUTION:This toner contains a binder resin, dye which absorbs near infrared rays expressed by formula I or II, and decolorizing agent expressed by formula III. Further, an UV absorbent is incorporated by 0.2-30 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the binder resin. In formulae I-III, X is halogen ion, perchloric ion, etc., R<1>-R<4> are hydrogen atoms, hydrocarbon groups, etc., Y is cation having absorption characteristics in a near infrared region, R<5>-R<8> are alkyl groups, aryl groups, and at least one of them is an alkyl group of 1-12 carbon number, R<9>-R<12> are hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups, etc. When the process to form letters or pictures with this toner on a image supporting body such as copy paper and to erase the letters or pictures is repeated, the letters and images can be erased but give no decolorization to the supporting body so that the supporting body can be repeatedly used.</p> |
