<p>PURPOSE:To detect the size of printing sheet with a single sensor and allow to print out image in conformity to the size. CONSTITUTION:On a carriage, on which a printing head 6 is installed, a sheet detecting means 5, which detects the size of printing sheet, a sheet size comparing means 10, which compares the sheet size detected by the sheet detecting means 5 with the size of image to be printed, a printable region printing means 20, which allows to print image only in a printable region on the basis of the signal sent from the sheet size comparing means 10, and an image size reducing means 14, which allows to print the image after the image size is reduced to the sheet size, are provided.</p> |
