摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide the above controller which controls the height of loopers arranged in-between each stand of a tandem rolling mill and tension between the stands of a rolled stock. CONSTITUTION:By a setting means 51, the command value for the tension of the rolled stock, the command value for the height of the looper, the model expression variable in the process to be controlled, the variable by which response between the tension it-between the stands and the height of the looper is specified and the variable by which response between the tension in-between the stands and the height of the looper is adjusted are set respectively. By an arithmetic means 52 for a control gain, the set value of the setting means 51 is substituted into a prescribe calculating formula for control gain, and the control gain is determined as a numerical value. By a control arithmetic means 12, while an interference from the rolled stock tension to the looper height and an interference from the rotational speed of a looper driving motor to the rolled stock tension are minimized by means of the arithmetic control gain, the command value for the rotational speed of a main motor for driving the rolling mill, by which the rolled stock tension is followed up to a tension command value, and the command value for the current of the looper driving motor, by which the looper height is followed up to a looper height command value, are calculated.</p>
