The method involves dividing mounting process into individual process segments, which are identified by a characteristic operation result. A time point, during occurrence of the operation result, is recorded, during implementation or simulation of the mounting process at the process segments. Temporal gap between the recorded time point of subsequent process segments are determined and stored as a data set, which is derived for evaluation of effectiveness of a mounting place (3) in an evaluation unit (11). A determined data set is compared with a pre-determined reference data set. An independent claim is also included for a system for implementing the method for testing the mounting place.
