<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure even when one gear stage is added to an existing manual transmission. <P>SOLUTION: When a shift lever is shifted to 5th-6th gear position, a tip end part 31a of the inner lever 31 is inserted in a groove part 6c of a 5th speed shift head 6a, and a lever part 31b formed on the inner lever 31 abuts on a lever receiving surface 7d of a 6th speed shift head 7a. When the lever is shifted to the 5th gear position, the inner lever 31 moves only the 5th speed shift head 6a to achieve 5th gear direct drive. On the other hand, when the lever is shifted to a 6th gear position, the tip end part 31a of the inner lever 31 moves the 5th speed shift head 6a, and the lever part 31b moves the lever receiving surface 7d of the 6th speed shift head 7a.
