<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine that indicates a start pocket where a ball enters to cause a current symbol variation game. <P>SOLUTION: During a first variation game which is executed when a game ball enters a first start pocket, a first special symbol is variably displayed in a variable display device. On the other hand, during a second variation game which is executed when a game ball enters a second start pocket, a second special symbol is variably displayed in a variable display device.
